The total amount of traded shares in the Saudi Stock Exchange for the month of January 2009 was SR 65.65 billion With increase of (23.49%) from the previous month where the value of the traded shares was SR 53.16 billion. The percentage share of Saudi nationals from the market trades was (90 %)for selling which is SR 59.12 billion and (84.5 %) for buying which is SR 55.45 billion. The percentage share of Saudi companies from the market trades was (4.1 %) for selling which is SR 1.96 billion and (9.2 %) for buying which is SR 4.99 billion. The percentage share of investment funds from the market trades was (2.3 %) for selling which is SR 1.49 billion and (2.9%) for buying which is SR 1.94 billion. The percentage share of GCC nationals from the market trades was (1.6 %) for selling which is SR 1.05 billion and (1.5 %) for buying which is SR 1.01 billion. The percentage share of Arab residence in Saudi Arabia from the market trades was (1.7 %) for selling which is SR 1.11 billion and (1.7 %) for buying which is SR 1.09 billion. The percentage share of foreigners residence in Saudi Arabia from the market trades was (0.3 %) for selling which is SR 173.19 million and (0.2 %) for buying which is SR 143.78 million.
